Because as far as the game is concerned, that is player local time. Your reset is based on your local time when you start the game, and as far as the game is concerned, that is forever your local time. It is the only decision the game has ever made based on local time.
I started playing SWGoH during the November-March DST, and I'm 90% sure the 2 other CST guild members of mine did as well. How is it that their bonus drops started at 12am, and mine at 2am?
