Why aren’t Zetas monetized?

Seems like something players would throw money at if they ever were up for sale. What reason could EA have for holding off?

  • game would not be f2p anymore. Way too much power concentrated in it to put it behind a paywall.
  • Wicket/Talzin zetas, the 160M TW bracket, are examples of zetas for sale. Typically though, zetas have been the last f2p frontier.
  • Personally think we should get at least one at the end of ls/ds Tb after at least 40*+ have been achieved.
Reward are a little light for something that takes a week.

They did sell them in Japan for a bit, and later said it was an accident

I imagine it would cause too much imbalance, and shorten the lifespan of the endgame content

Yeah a while back we faced a Japanese guild in TW and they had a crazy amount of zetas for where they were GP-wise. I think they sold like hot cakes when they made them available.
  • It will come...just wait for it. G12 was also exclusive to promote investments in characters that would get you G12 stuff (mainly TB teams). Now that many have farmed those teams, they put them into the store for crystals. Will also happen to Zetas at some point in one way or another.

I think they will introduce more ways to indirectly obtain zetas, so that you have to invest in certain characters...

This. Don't sell the cow, sell the milk.

Also it's a fair method to level the playing field. Everyone is on the same path, not direct "jump to the end" path.
