I can vouch for the first two sentences. The last two-three days, I stayed 1st place, so the only fights I had to do were for the daily activity. Right now (literally while writing this), however, I am in 5th and am on my 4th attempt with the strategy Seedy suggested. The only reason I won that attempt was because I got an opening and managed to get rid of TD early on, which helped me get to the Ult first. Otherwise, all the other attempts ended in a time-out. In fact, the third battle was going somewhat well, until the enemy Mark 6 came out and nuked my Dagger, at which point I just left. Now, I'm going to do my 5th battle with the Bomber comp and hope I don't get pushed back to 5th.
Also, can someone please tell me how out of the 15 or so attempts since the rework, I've only managed to win the coin toss twice? I know it's up to RNG, but come on!
Today's update. I am currently on the verge of an emotional breakdown.
I just spent 200 crystals and 9 battles against the same opponent, and I am still stuck in 5th place. The fifth and ninth battles, I actually, for some bizzare, unimaginable reason, managed to go first. They ended in a time out. Otherwise, every single time, the enemy Levi went first. Every single time, the enemy fleet inflicted any debuff they wanted, while I could barely inflict anything. The cherry on top? Every single time, once the enemy Mk6 showed up, it used its nuke ability! Not only that, at one point the enemy Bomber had no taunt, the enemy TD was one attack away from death, the moment my ship got its turn, the Bomber suddenly regaind taunt. How?!
What kind of braindead idiot (apparently the other 5-letter word for idiot, starts with mo, ends in ron, gets censored) thought that these changes would be a good idea?! If ever there was a time to bring back horsewhipping and death penalties, now would be the ideal moment.
