Actually, keep the Thermals as is regarding duration and behavior (Greedos, Nutes and Zams Detonators behave differently for a reason).
Instead, just up the damage on Thermals across the board a tad, give the Thermal users a set percentage to hit their target (instead of trying to stick your thermals with low potency to no avail)and make them undispellable.
That should be a good fix for Thermals.
Nute Gunshyray, who only throws one Thermal (but a big one that does AOE-damage) could have a higher chance than Greedo, Zam etc to have his Grenade Stick, let's say 75-80 % or so.
Just making them Undispellable (not regarded as Debuffs), would be a huge step for starters.
