Sorry for the long post, but I thought I’d make it long and thoughtful one, and try to convey everything that our guild is about. When I first joined in 2023, we were an 80M GP guild, focused on helping newer players grow, and having a few experienced players help out and teach us all how to progress better. That was three years ago, and more than half of our guild is homegrown talent that has stayed here with us as we grew. The beautiful thing about everyone learning and growing together is that there is a team bond and a synergy in our play style that is special, and for the still smallish size of our guild, the stats will explain and show that fact. Today we are a 370M GP guild, with the leaders being homegrown or original members, and together we’re seeking to find one last special player to join our team. A while back, we recruited a player who was very experienced and on paper was far overqualified for a guild like ours, but he was seeking a change of pace in play. He grew to love our team style, how close we are, and the way we work as a team to consistently receive results that are high above what a guild our size should normally achieve. Eventually after about six months, he chose to move on due to seeking different and higher rewards that our guild wasn’t quite ready to reach at this time, yet in his departure, he mentioned that this guild was one of the most structured and close teams that he’s been a part of, minus the drama and hostility of many competitive guilds. A few months later, he decided to return to our team, stating that he missed our team dynamic and how we work together in game and in our team Discord, and that the pressure from larger guilds that he faced wasn’t worth being treated in a manner that removed the enjoyment from the game. We know that it is fun to win, and with humility, we do frequently win, but we also know that fun comes from the community and comradery around us, regardless of the wins and losses, and that learning from better players and teaching newer players is a beautiful part of the growing process in the game.
