“Status Effects”: what does it entail?

I don't believe Siphon counts as a status effect, however you can test it with some of the prepared scoundrels like Young Han under KRU. Have him spread prepared to a FO ally and double check to see if that prepared effect counts as a status effect. They're both blue.

Also another thing suggesting they don't count, if GAS has guard and drops into cover he loses all status effects and when he comes back he still has guard.
