Ship arena also depends a lot on shards. Some are very active and very hard to progress. Others less so.
I do think the release of all the bounty hunter ships as marquee has created a big divide between those who got those ships and those who didn’t. And I’m in the latter group.
I got into the top 50 in my shard with Geos and Ackbar when ships 2.0 dot as released. It was a good move at the time and boosted my zeta haul from the shop.
Not surprisingly, that’s not holding up as well these days. But I’ve also focused on the old republic toons at Revan for the moment so ships have taken a back seat in my roster. And that means it’s harder to stay in the top 50 as I haven’t farmed any of the new ships or pilots. So it goes.
