To be honest your best bet is to find a bad guild. Find one that is half full and does lower tier raids. Once you have a 7 seven star character you wont want to be in a guild like this because it won't be getting you higher tier rewards and it won't be raiding enough. Then when you make your jump you will have a 7 star character and be ready for a good guild.
While you are hoarding if you do a lower tier raid 15 times and finish 25th each time you will probably get 15 pieces of gear vi or vii gear and guild currency for 100 shards of someone in the guild shop. Personally if you are hoarding and focusing phoenix I reccomend buying in the guild shop one of jynn (awesome late game in raids), old Ben and farm boy Luke for cls event or my personal recommendation Dengar or zam Wessel to help in credit heists.
For hard nodes you can pick one or two nodes and do them 5 times a day when levelling normally but when jumping/hoarding focus on gearing your guys.
