With recent addition of KRU and FOSFTP to the game it’s best if we add them to this guide as well. FO as a faction are still unplayable in early-mid game and become somewhat good in end game (after you zeta their abilities). Current best setup is KRU (lead), Kylo Ren, FOST, FOO, FOTP. With that being said I want to ask opinions on which toons are best to farm for a f2p player and when should we farm them.
My opinion is that we have to get KRU, Kylo, FOO and FOTP. All of these can be easily farmed from different stores or nodes and are in best team setup for this faction. Last spot can be:
- Phasma – easiest to farm, but with fleet arena granting crystals it’s best to farm ship shards from GW store. I would farm her if you can’t get top20 in your arena or you farmed most ships to 5-6*.
- FOST – hardest farm since he only has 3 hard nodes and some are only accessible after 80lvl. However he can also be farmed from early on in game, so it’s a steady income of shards. Best unit for FO team
- FOSFTP – can be easily farmed and has a decent ship for fleet arena. He can be a substitute for Sun Fac and his ship. Biggest problem is that guild store has the best variety of items to buy, be it unit shards or gear.
If you like FO and plan to use them in DS TB and TW I would suggest sticking to original farming plan of FOST (from beginning). I would also suggest farming FOSFTP and his ship to 4* for ship challenges and to avoid Sun Fac farm. What is everyone’s opinion ?
My second question is about ideal time to farm KRU. Because of FO lack of viability in early and mid game and KRU being in cantina node I would suggest farming him in mid-late game. Hera, Ezra, Lando, TFP, Wedge and health mods are a much better investment of cantina energy than KRU. You can also argue that Captain Han Solo and Finn are a better use of cantina energy – former unlocks Leia special mission from TB and the latter is best pve Resistance team (although he is only viable with his zeta, so after 80lvl). You have to take into account farming Kylo Ren from cantina as well – he can be farmed from guild store too.
I would suggest farming CHS before KRU. What is everyone’s opinion ?
I would also like to ask a favor from ppl that started during last month to provide me with data what character shards are in guild store (and how many character slots) pre 60lvl. I don’t need info on each and every character, but availability of most common units mentioned in guide – Old Ben, Luke, Rey, Kylo, Finn, Barriss, Sith Assasin, FOSFTP, Rex. I assume some only show up after 60lvl. I can also be provided in form of screenshots, anything will do. Thx in advance.
