I changed my team to Barriss instead of Boba, and the fight was easy. She removed the debuffs of one ally every turn, and she was very fast. I think she might be the better toon for removing debuffs than Ackbar.
At removing probably yes, but Ackbar also gives +10% tenacity which might make a difference if you're geared high enough. The biggest difference is that his dispell is a skill and he needs to be leader for effectiveness. Her's is a unique and it can trigger offhand. Agreed that she is worth farming, but is not a priority.
People in my guild also tell me that in their shard in the top 20, most people have a zeta Barriss.
They have her because of survivability. It's better on defence as you already noted.
I think it's time for an update to guide, or at least my thoughts.
