Thanks for the comments all, especially Reinhardt for the mod suggestion; I guess Maul may not be optimal, but my rebel suck and I'm way off even unlocking Baze, and Zaul might help with my speed problems, so I guess until I get decent rebels I may as well zeta my Maul and hope for the best! He may be less useful, but if I can break 100 in arena, the extra crystals will speed everything else up so I reckon it's worth the gamble.
