GK does work in the team, however if you face a zPalpatine, i would advise against it.
The reason being that usually GK's first move is the cleanse, which would feed insane turn meter to the opposing team (*if* GK ever gets his turn before getting silenced/stunned/etc. - he doesn't benefit from Rolo's leadership).
