Asajj Ventress

Just wondering how powerful she is end game.

Right now mine is level 47 3* (20/30 should get her to 4* tonight) gear level 4 (have to clear 5A before I can upgrade).

Her moves are great, but sometimes don't pack a big enough punch. And her hp is often not enough. It seems like she is the weakest link in my team at the moment.

So, does she get better later?
  • I've been using a 5* Asajj this whole time and I'm usually in the top 30 of PvP. I'm not sure how viable she is since her skills aren't fixed yet but she's one of my favorite characters so I will continue to use her and eventually make her my leader.
  • She is great.. That being said, step away from this thread... Nothing to see here. ;)
  • Ventress is an "acquired taste". Some hate her, some love her, most just don't understand her. I've been using her since the first week and she's currently on my arena team, because despite a few issues, she brings a lot to the table.

    Strengths:
    - Hits hard.
    - Stun on her main attack; this is relatively rare.
    - Ability to dispel opponent buffs AND heal the party. The description of this ability says it heals only her, and it is not known if the description is wrong or she is bugged. The dispel only works with some buffs. When it procs, though, it can be a powerful bonus heal. Often useful against taunters, and one of the few who can dispel taunts while also having other uses.
    - Can automatically gain offense up whenever anyone on either team dies.
    - Has a "renewable" AoE (resets cooldown) if you time it so that she finishes someone. This also resets the dispel cooldown.

    Weaknesses:
    - Very slow. Slowest in the game. (Partially mitigated if you run a nightsister team.)
    - Squishy. Not Darth Maul squishy, but squishy.
    - Slow.
    - Bugged as mentioned above.
    - The AI loves to target her.
    - She takes skill to play, which means the AI doesn't play her well.
    - Did I mention she was slow?

I'm a big fan of stunning, and I love using her dispel and AoE. She can be extremely useful in dark side missions, giving you multiple AoEs if you time it right, and they can hit hard. I've used her right after an enemy Poggle's special to remove 4/5 of the offense ups and heal my entire party to full, which is a game changer. But again, she's... slow and squishy.
  • shes fantastic if you know how to use her. the ai does not so most people who only see her controlled by ai think she sucks
  • Sad but true. Ventress is often part of my A team, and trust me, the competition is fierce. She's definitely a worthy addition. Problem, as people have already pointed out, is that her skills are circumstantial. The AI just doesn't play her well.

The only heroes that the AI plays well are the ones whose skills are always relevant. Like old Ben and Poggle. And maybe Phasma too, to a degree.
  • I love her, easily my favorite char in the game, for fun aspect. Of course until her bugs are fixed she is of limited actual value in the arena, and AI doesnt know how to play her, but outside she is awesome. If I see a phasma team in GW I always bring her, basically a free heal and loss of advantage for the enemy. And her aoe hits quiet well.
Usually though if I bring her in I make her leader with Daka in tow. That gives Daka extra speed for stuns, and speeds up Asajj as well. I love working on setup where her aoe nukes a few enemies and resets. Very satisfying. It makes me want to assemble more night sisters. Too bad Talia is a bit of a dud at 5* ..
