I think he downplayed his awesomeness in Ep VII.
In Ep VIII he's going postal on Hux and Snoke, just rolling around like a madman.
BB8 will be the next R2 ... OP as hell, four zeta abilities, OHKO to maxed Zylo ... he's going straight to meta.
