Grievous has never had a bad kit, he's just had bad base stats that have become much worse with the power creep. EA released him at a time when they somewhat cared about balance, so they gave him weak stats to compensate. If grievous was release today, they would have given him a minimum of 160 speed with 30k health and everyone would be talking about how awesome his kit is (except his leader ability, that deserves a zeta)
