Beating Revan with zPalp, how's that possible?

Hello all, I have one major question for all of you guys who can understand game mechanics better than I do. There is this guy in my arena shard that runs zPalp team with zSion, zVader, zDN, T...

I don't think that the sith team will move first.
Revan got 292 speed + 40 (5 jedi, 3 old republic * 5 speed) = 332
Vader got 232 + 96 (5 jedi, 3 imperial, 4 sith * 8 speed) = 328

So if I'm not mistaken Vader shouldn't move first. And furthermore: Every jedi starts with tenacity up, making it harder to get the debuffs to hit in the first place. And the leadership only works if debuffs get removed, not if they get resisted.
