Best gear 12 salvage farming strategy

I like to say that I can take 1 toon per week to relic from g12+0, but honestly that's been cut down some now that so many in my guild have SLKR & I'm running GL Rey. Even so, I still get 1 per 8 days or so (and I hope it gets better again once I've got SLKR myself).
With Kyros you need 2800 crystals to get your 100 salvage from shipments & you don't save that much farming them using regular energy. So I tend to just buy the things. This means that if someone needs more than 1 full Kyro, I have to spend 5600, which is more crystals than I can bank in a week after subtracting daily refreshes from my income.
So for some toons, I can take 10-11 days for a purple gear tier, while g12+0 => relic is still 8. Those double-Kyro levels always end up being the most frustrating for me. This is particularly true since the right-side pieces that are the real work at g12 provide speed bumps & good boosts to other stats as well. A completed Kyro by itself doesn't help a whole lot. So the effort/reward ratio is still much better (and to me more tolerable) at g12.
