Best ship combo to get past fleet battle 5D

What ships do you have to work with?

I use a galactic republic tank team with Thrawn and ult to win. Long but really easy.

Other fleets are not tanky enough in my opinion.

I start Rex Fives Plo Koon and call in clone sergeant and JC with Thrawn capital ship.

If you are up against an enemy Thrawn commander then use a different fleet with more damage.

If you have them geared and the ships omega'd up the geos can easily 3 Star any battle

I have thrawn maxed, TF, Vader, Biggs, Rex, geo soldier, sun fac, 5’s, boba, scimitar, Poe, Biggs, Clone sergeant, all g12, maxed ships. I also now have bossk 5 star ship, he is g12. I get smoked on 5c. I am working on geo spy now. Just looking for the starting 3 I should use and the team I should use as backups.

AI opponent is Ackbar with Biggs, Ghost & Phantom starting so I am guessing the other Rebels reinforcing. (Been a while since I did it)

Depending how buffed they are a 5* HT may work but I am guessing not given that I only 1*'d it with what was probably a 6* HT & 7* g12 Bossk.

I'd try this:
start: Biggs, Tie, 5s
ri: Vader, Soldier, Poe, Sun-Fac
* get TL's going early and keep 'em coming with Vader first ri
* dump everything you have into Phantom before it can move
* use Chimaera's buff/debuff/heal ability first
* only bring in Sun-Fac if you need a second tank, otherwise keep the damage coming

Y’all are doing this wrong. Start clone sergeant, rex, Fives and call in jc or Plo Koon for support. Tank all damage forever and ever then have chimera use the ult to seal the deal. Easiest 3 star method to do.

Don’t limit your fleet composition to arena fleets only. There is no timer and you only need to do it well once.

I had Executrix with the Geos and Vader as reenforcement. Won all fleet battles on auto.
No problems.

I had this when I did 5C:
Home one capital ship
Line-up: HT, Biggs, Imp TIE
Vader and Fives reinforcement and was done
HT was 4*, the rest ships 7*
Bossk g11, Biggs g11, TIE pilot g9, Vader g12, Fives g9.
Ackbar g11, ship 7*, abilities 4/5 except ultimate at max

Same day 5D:
Executrix capital ship
Line-up: Fives, Biggs, Imp TIE
Vader reinforcement
Tarkin g12, maxed abilities

Both made 3*
