Right now you pretty much can't compete with Han's Falcon/HT/Bistan's U-wing for an opening lineup, assuming the pilots are all appropriately decked out. (moment of silence for all the carbantis sunk into Scarif Rebel Pathfinders everywhere).
If you can't get the Falcon yet, Bounty Hunters, First Order or Sith ships are probably your best bets.
