Best taunt toon for GW

Is better play without tank, only use a tank in the last 3 battles, because the objective of a tank is protect the attackers, but will die. If you want use a tank, the best is Royal Guard, but only if the cooldown of Luminara in her healing ability is 0 or 1 at the beginnig of the battle, because the taunt of RG will be activated very soon and you need healing to prevent that RG die.

My favourite team for the first 6 battles in the GW is Luminara (L), GS, IG-86, IG-88 and QGJ. Also is nice with Resistance Pilot, without QGJ. When the battles are more difficult, I use Poggle as leader, GS, 86, 88 and Lumi. If some character die, I can replace he by Kylo Ren, Sidious, Ventress, Rey or Dooku. Also is nice HK-47 as leader from 6th to 9th battles. When my toons need heal I use Ventress as leader and Daka. And in the last 3 battles I use Royal Guard and Poe. Also Jedi Consular or Barriss Offee when I need heal. Always the best defense is a good attack, with Luminara is enough healing, using Daka, JC and Barriss only in some situations.

Play the GW with auto-play is not enjoy the game. With a good attack team the GW is fast and you enjoy the game. With RG and Barriss you lose a lot of power attack, so is better use the best attackers of the game (GS and IG86) and another good attackers as IG88.

My strategy in the GW is different than in the Arena, I use GS to kill Sidious at the beginning, to prevent the AoE and the healing immunity, then I kill the other characters depending of the power. Only with Luminara is enough to mantain the health of the characters. Like this, I can win the GW in around 15 minutes. It is an example from 20 days ago:

I don't said that the objective of a tank is die, I said that the objective is protect the attackers, but then the tank will die, you only can maintain the tank alive if you spend a lot of time in every battle using Barriss Offee, but I prefer win the GW in around 15 minutes, and not 45 o 30 minutes, or use auto-play that is not enjoy the game.

otherwise RG, but honestly don't see the point of a tank in GW. better to use an extra healer instead - I use Lumi and Daka. Daka has better stun than RG

I rarely use tanks in GW. I stick with speed + dps. If I come a node that is giving me trouble sometimes I sacrifice RG or Poe, but it's rare.
