Uh, my team clears GW just fine. And there's plenty of EP/Vader and Wiggs arena teams I can beat. I also got 5* EP with them. Didn't do 6*/7* because Hera was still 5* at the time.
Are they the best team for everything? Of course not. No one team is. But I don't think you're going to get a lot of support for the Phoenix-is-garbage stance.
