Brainstorming counters to bastilla lead

Gone through 2 metas so far. And yes, I'm sure ZMaul's may struggle in older shards, or would they? Have you tried? Sure, R2D2 put a stop to the evasive mechanic, but you still get stealth with crits as well. You still get the massive speed boost in the the beginning. And believe me, my shard knows by now that I'm not ever changing leads. They got tired of blowing refreshes to get passed me. I hunker down around the either the 6th spot or 4th spot where I stay all day. I'm super active and will continuously let the newer guys that fighting me will only result in blowing crystals. I'm not sure what kind of shard you're in, but I'm grateful for what I have going and grateful for 900 crystals every day. It sure helps and I'll make sure it continues. :)

I used zmaul about a year ago but became unusable shortly after. I'm July 16 shard, rank 24 at payout yesterday. 16 of top 20 are 6 or 7* Traya. I'm on Bastila, gmy, gk, thrawn & wampa. Rest are 7* Bastila. A fast Hoda (& I've seen 300 speed on one) + the TM boost from Bastila means he'll go first against a zmaul team even with their own tm boost. He grants a turn to gmy and it's game over. Only see R2d2 as part of the handful of those using the old jtr meta. I loved a zmaul team but even using it briefly would be suicide!

This is why I utilize Nest, she'll absorb all that early damage. The stealth mechanic will funnel many attacks to Nest, who for the first part of the match is indestructible. Also she can cut through all of yoda's foresight so you can eliminate him quicker. Another bonus with her is that because Bastilla teams throw up so many buffs, Nest's crit damage will quickly go through the roof
