I use a zzJTR led droid team to beat Bastila. zL3, zR2, zzBb8 and zzT3 are a fun combination. I need to get L3 and T3 to 7* and R2's 2nd zeta (debuff remover) and then I think they will be extremely effective. L3 is still a little squishy, but she is only a 4* right now.
It sucks that droids don't have a good leader. Right now you have:
HK - lead is easily the best of the group but, as a toon, he is worthless.
IG88 - lead is not great. As a toon, he packs a good punch but he's still a bit on the squishy side even at G12. If he had HK's lead then I think there would be some potential there.

Outside of those three, there are two other non-droid toons who have pro-droid leads but they aren't great:
Chief Nebit - Bonus CC and CC down on criticals which is kind of meh. CN is also too squishy for a tank.
Lobot - Bonus speed, if paired with Bb8, is nice. If his Optimize recovered protection and health for dispelled debuffs then there could definitely be something there. Otherwise, Lobot is kind of worthless.
