I have the other toons needed for the luke event but Old Ben is standing at 4* and 20 odd shards. I can realistically only blow 200 crystals per day in the cantina. Will i be able to get him to 7* in time?

You should be able to I would suspect,

At 8 energy node, 2 refreshes(and natural regen) is about 45 attempts a day.Assuming 1/3 drop rate, that is about 15 shards a day.Assuming that the event starts next week and lasts at least a week, you might be able to get 225 shards in 15 days.The more important question is whether you can gear him up in time also.

I think the answer is if you actually get a 33% drop rate yes with 3 refreshes per day. If you are like me and others getting 15%...then you need 4 to 5 refreshes.

Maybe the real question is not can I unlock Old Ben in time but can I gear him up in time?

Old Ben quite easy to gear, he don't need raid gear to g9. Upgrade to gear 10, u need around 200 carbatis.

Since when do they give that much notice? They want to make $, so I'd think CLS event will be this week or maybe the week after. Just doesn't make sense for them to give everyone a ton of time to farm everything f2p.

Like another said...stop with the multi sim...it sucks beyond 3 at a time. I always do 2-3, every attempt at more was worthless.

Superstitions are superstitions. I do max allowable sims all the time, often 20x at once, and my results are just fine.

I've been simming 3 at a time (on the 8 cost node) and averaging about 20 shards a day on 3 refreshes and natural energy. ^This. I do 2 Sims at time and averaged 20 shards a day. I got Ben to 7* last night. Squad ready for event.
