They become very easy to beat later on in the game. They seem wildly overpowered now, but you'll steamroll them before too long. Basically any team with heavy debuffs or big hitters can plow through them. Palp lead Sith/Empire is the easiest, since it provides both, plus Palp's passive damages them every turn (2x on Kanan and Ezra) and Shock prevents healing.
First team I managed to beat them with consistently was First Order. Regardless of team, you'll usually want to gun down Chopper first - he provides the obnoxious Protection Up every time you land a hit, so if you can get him out of the way, the others become a lot easier to kill. He'll even politely taunt for you to direct the hits his way.
