My shard is 5 years old so I have some stiff competition. Through GrandIvory's modding I got my CLS team to 29, have 3 more battles but will surely drop down in a few hours. Just curious though how much people are spending if any to stay in top 20

I set myself a budget of 150 crystals for both arenas. some days I use it, but usually only 100, others I dont spend any. Lately those days are lower, too many active in my fleet so need a 50 to make the whole climb. arena, is more rare to spend the 50, but it still happens.

My experience has been that at the end of a meta, more and more people have it, and therefore you get pushed farther and farther down before your climb. Combine that with a meta that is not terribly reliant on mods (GAS), and you end up with a ton of people able to climb that weren't before, pushing you down even farther.

And then the meta shifts, and it won't take long before you're locked out of the top 20 regardless, unless there's a viable counter that you are able to utilize.

I think the important thing to remember is to not over spend and spend wisely. I think many would be surprised by what a small investment in 5 more battles will yield overall. Even spaced out, those 5 battles can be more beneficial in the long run than 1 rushed jump to get that last push. IMO

No way you are in an old tough arena running CLS and finishing anywhere near top 100.

I wish people would quit my old shard. Top guys have too much invested. Figure just the bottom weaker players moved on.

Top 20? Nope. I can get there without any refreshes. Top 5? Nope, I'll need 1 to get there and I have to watch ine team that tries to snipe me even though their payout is a different time

Are you working on other teams? CLS counters GAS okay for now, but once more people get the GL's, you'll be lucky to get under 100 every day.
