That's called "Territory Wars." It's a guild event. There used to be tournaments, but there was a pretty vocal group of peopke that disliked them, so they were discontinued.

Did Territory War just come out? Like isn’t there a Guild Verizon of it I’m guessing the one with the 25 member minimum.

@Liath thanks for that information, and surprising that people went through all that to become rank #1 and I guess man I hope they do change something so that we can do high competition like a tournament mode or something, but hey the game is still pretty awesome so I can’t really complain. Learn something new everyday

Territory Wars is what you are thinking of with the 25 member minimum. It's a guild vs. guild event in which you face a variety of teams placed on defense by the other guild. So that would allow you to compete against folks you don't usually get to compete against in your own arena, but not in an arena setting.

Squad tournaments were miserable and full of hackers. They also had a bunch of different leaderboards anyway. It could be different people than your arena and was divided differently, but it was still divided. There is no mode that has thrown every player of the game together in a single competition.
