My question may seem stupid, but what is the purpose of the coaxium that we collect on the website in the ‘Raid on Kassel’ tab? And is there a place where we can see how much coaxium we have?

It's the biggest square of the Kessel webpage.
You get rewards (energy, crystals...), some daily, some related to a whole episode. You can see your global score in "Coaxium Heist" section. There are several tiers (parsecs) with their own rewards. It resets every month and you must begin again with 0 coaxium. It's not forever like other currencies.
