Concern about team building - Dash Rendar

I saw Ahnald's latest video where he had all sorts of trouble beating out a Dash Rendar team.

It makes me want to build that squad, especially given there is no omicron needed for it to stand up in Territory Wars.

However, I have a real concern about investing in the building right now after they spruiked the QGJ omicron and then nerfed him without offering omicron refunds.

I'd hate to invest in gearing a Dash team up to relic levels to then have him nerfed because he is too strong in a particular game format.

In summary, recent actions by CG have made it harder to commit to playing the game the way I think it was intended.

Anyone else feel this way?
  • Yeah, my admiral ackbar says hi, not to mention the great nerfs....
Basically there's nothing stopping them from going back and changing the kit on a whim; and they're showing that they have no prob changing something we have invested in without compensation. Take that for what you will; for me it's not sinking anymore money into it.
I geared up KK and working on MJ, bc they're good toons. I'll be doing Dash next for fun, but all f2p. And also doing it all with the grain of salt that cg will prob change something I value whenever they want. In retrospect it's not a great relationship.....
  • Not sure why this was moved from general discussion @crzydroid

It isn't really character or arena strategy, more a general question about how people are thinking about building squads when characters get nerfed without warning.

Thanks for helping me become a real forum user
  • Dash's pro is that is very fast (he has 190 base speed and gets +20 from his lead, as he is a support) and gives a lot of TM to his team with his opening move. If you can go first or negate that advantage then he's not that difficult (I beat it with a Beskar Mando team last round).
But overall it seems a very good team either for rolling over an opponent on defense (with Vandor Chewie providing a good safety net) or surprising a careless opponent on defense.

I'll soon have mine 7* but I still need to relic whoever will go with him ...

And to be honest Ahnald isn’t always playing optimal. He’s an entertainer, not a theorycrafter.

Is it not the omicron that makes the team good ?

Sorry, my error. Ahnald's video shows Dash standing up well in Territory Wars without any help from his GAC omicron against teams with TW omicrons
  • Dash is good, just slap him into scoundrel team (just let someone else lead) and he's incredibly good, no need for prepared team.

As for Ahnald, clickbait, useless information.
  • I use dash under bam team as i don't have prepared scoundrel. He's fast and his aoe first turn give everyone full tm. Not it's best use but it work
