I agree with you 100% - but I also agree with the point that it's eyeroll-inducing for CG to fall back on "just make everything super-fast" as a way to make things "challenging". Speed is, was and always will be king - especially if the developers themselves use it as a design crutch.
It's also eyeroll-inducing to see players thinking they always need to go first, when we are given tools that make that not necessary. It's almost as if there is a strategy backed in to overcome this, without going faster........ but who wants to use strategy.
