How do you not have a single Galactic Legend?
I'm practically free to play (we'll argue the semantics if you want, but I don't think buying the Hyperdrive bundle after playing since early 2016 gave me much of an edge beyond not seeing that notification all the time) and I'm maybe two weeks from finishing the pre-reqs for my second.
You've got to get on that stuff, man. It's like refusing to wear flip flops at the beach and then complaining that GC is making the sand too hot.
Some people took time off (like myself) and are perpetually behind due to it. I am 2 months out from Rey, and that is only if I stop dropping gear on Malak and DR. Without being able to take top 20 in fleet or arena, sparse crystal income keeps users back. If Grand Arena paid out better, I'd be game, but as it stands I tend to only out-mod my opponents. I will admit though, I would have Rey already had I choose not to get GAS.
Anyone that takes time off loses the ability to complain about not having any certain toon. You don't have the right to something just because you stopped playing for a while.
You are correct. Read what I replied to. I neither complained or declared I had a right. He asked how a 2016 account could not have a GL. I answered. For me it's math. 2021 - 2016 - 1.5 = 3.5 years of playtime. I imagine my situation is a nice double-digit % of this gaming community. I would bet that over 50% of 5 year SWGOH players still dont have a GL.
@Kyno , any data source that could answer that bet?
Any 5yr player without a GL doesn't have time to be on the forums...they should be farming.
Some people play for fun, farming what they like and not only the best(like Jawas or mediocre BH), i'm on year 4 and don't see myself farming for a GL anytime soon.
I should clarify: any 5yr player without a GL, or struggling in any significant way, should spend more time on the game and less complaining on the forums.
If you're just playing casually with the understanding that your return will be less, then that's great for you. Keep having fun.
Just can't have both.
100%
I'm a F2P player in a guild that can't beat CPit and have no R8 toons. I managed to get the max reward crate by 3 starring all of the non-boss nodes and completing all of the feats (except a few of the boss feats)
Sector 1 - 66/66
Sector 2 - 63/66
Sector 3 - 79/84
Sector 4 - 81/87
Sector 5 - 93/105
It was a chore going back and completing feats but it's doable as F2P. For the record, I have GL Rey, but I only used her for some of the annoying feats, I never had to lean on her to complete battles.
My point is, when you're F2P and not playing competitively, you can't possibly expect to be able to hang with the top tier players of the game and expect max rewards for all events. It's not impossible, but not realistic to expect it in a freemium type of game like this. I feel your pain! A lot of these events that come out and assault battles and stuff like that, I can't beat the last 2 or 3 tiers because I just don't have the teams or have them geared high enough, but it comes with the F2P territory. I'm not being an advocate for predatory microtransactions or anything, just saying that if you're not paying to get a leg up, you're pretty much always going to be behind. I've been pretty much playing this game since year 1 and I only have 1 GL while others who have been playing a fraction of the time as me have all 4 current ones and are already starting on the new Kenobi requirements.
