Even is a good advice. Jawas totally counter geos, I don't agree as gearing up jawas just for countering geos is going to be a gear waste as they have no other purpose.
If you are facing gear 7-8 even 9 geos. You can use jawas gear 7-8 to get them down but... So heavy investment for so little.
I won't do it.
