Dark Side Team Recommendation

Empire to get R2, he is one of the best characters in the game -

Palp or Thrawn lead, then Vader, Moff, Royal Guard.

Solid team. Experiment between Moff and TFP if you like, they're both good.



Obviously there is a lot of upcoming Sith stuff about to happen...you've got good Sith characters...

Maybe Palp lead, Vader, Nihilus, Maul and Dooku?

Maybe farm Assasin and swap her with Maul or Dooku?

For the immediate future, go with EP lead Vader Sidious Maul Tarkin. They're your best chance. You can also switch Maul out for Kylo.
Long term, EP lead and Vader should still work - they're at the top of the meta right now, and looks like they're here to stay. EP lead is similar to R2 - since he works with the two largest DS factions in game, he can find a spot in most DS future meta possibilities. However, is recommend choosing between the Empire or the Sith and run a single faction team for better synergy. I went Empire, and am currently running EP Vader DT Krennic Thrawn. Both factions have a lot going for them, so it's really a matter of preference.

I'd have to agree with this. I personally prefer Sith over Empire, but they are both very strong. On Empire though, I love to have Imperial Troopers in my roster because they are very powerful in every PVE element of the game.

Start with Empire to get R2. And then CLS later on. Level and gear Palp (current meta) and Vader (also for the Rancor and because he's a pilot). You can also level up Tarkin (fleet commander) and TFP (good ship) and you'll have a full squad for arena, fleet, Rancor and R2's event. Of course gear Thrawn since he's the most versatile toon of the game for now.

I agree, EMPIRE over Sith to get R2.
TFP Tarkin Vader will be part of your fleet making them multi-purpose as compared to Sith.
We need to think about end game toons as our goals.
CLS, Thrawn, R2, GK JTR etc
