Darth Maul or TIE Fighter Pilot?

I'm building a Sith / Empire team. Struggling with picking either Darth Maul or TFP for the 5th slot.. currently level 78.

I have Emperor Palpatine 6*, Darth Vader 6*, Royal Guard 6*, Count Dooku 6*, and 5th slot i'm thinking Darth Maul or TFP.

Darth Maul inflicts Daze and his 1st skill is useful only if he gets last hit kill, while as TIE pilot gains lots of turn meter via others' debuffs and have foresight.. so TFP will be a better choice? Useful as a pilot of the TIE fighter ship too? How is his damage like?

However I heard Darth Maul's damage is pretty awesome too and many ppl mention about his Zeta leadership ability. Currently he is at 6* but I'm finding him pretty meh at level 70 (low hp pool too at gear VIII). Skills not fully maxed out mostly at level 3-4.

Hope someone can advice before I invest more gears on either one.

  • For the squad u r referring to, both TFP and Nihilus would b better choices than Maul. Also, Shore is worlds beyond RG if u have him...even at 4*. Crit immunity, tm gain when Empire use specials and a group heal...as well as starting w/ taunt up. Way too good.
  • I'm also level 78 running EP lead, tfp is the real damage dealer, with debuffs on enemies he's a beast.. Also shore is essential or else wiggs will one shot EP at the start. And for Dooku I think DN or boba would be way better.

  • Absolutely must get TFP in an Empire team. Shore is also critical for an Empire team. I'd definitely get those two and mix with EP lead, Vader and throw DN there.
  • Agreed with everyone here, TFP is a must for that team. Maul is amazing as a PVP lead with a zeta but is average at best otherwise (well, he is fun to use in GW).
