Darth Nihilus - Drain Force?

Hi Forum,

I am using Darth Nihilus on my team in arean and when on attack against one team my Nihilus starts and I start with Drain Force. So with that I now hope the opponents Palpatine and Nihlius will be one round delayed yet when it is their turn they use Drain Force or Power of the Dark side directly. Their Drain force works on all of my toons? So it would seam my Drain Force on attack has problems against the computer yet his Drain Force works?

Anyone else experience this?

Best Regards

  • Drain Force can not be resisted.
It has a 50% chance to proc, if it doesn't proc, it wasn't resisted because it never attempted to be.
If the enemy is debuffed, it has 100% chance to proc.
In all cases, if the enemy dodges, the cd increase doesn't happen, whether debuffed or not.
  • Nihilus has a 50% chance of drain force working and its doubled against debuffed toons. Is your nihilus maybe going to early in the battle?
  • Fair enough that is probably it I have done in a few times now on the same guy in arena and I was feeling that the AI was cheating... thanks
  • It could be bad rng too but if its consistent i suspect its drain force on debuffed enemies vs non debuffed enemies.
  • If your nihilus is going before your Vader then most of the enemy team won't be debuffed, so you only have a 50% chance to reduce their cooldowns. Then when the enemy nihilus goes, all of your toons will have been debuff Ed by the enemy Vader so all of your cooldowns get drained.

In addition drain force can be dodged in which case no CD increase will apply.

In addition I think the cooldown drain can be resisted - there have been a few times when a debuffed nihilus has used force drain right after me.

It shouldn't be possible to resist. Are you sure he didn't dodge?

If the enemy team has no debuffs then it is absolutely possible to resist the cooldown increase.

Read the ability description. It has 50% chance to drain cooldowns if the opposing toon is not debuffed. If you use Drain Force after debuffing them it will work 100% of the time
  • Drain force only has a 50% chance to reduce cooldowns unless the opponents characters have a debuff. My guess is your opponents characters are not debuffed when you drain force, and so you only have a 50% chance, but your characters are debuffed when your opponent drains force, so they have 100% chance.

You're exactly right. I even watched out for this and learned that was what was happening, then somehow managed to forget :#
