Nope. It's easy. You need five droids and there are five droids available for free to play players.

People complain about the meta being the only thing that matters, so they create events that use characters that aren't meta and now people complain about that. Folks want to have no cake and not eat it, too.

Only need 3 except for the bonus tier which will probably be crazy hard.

Tiers 1-6 only require a minimum of 3 droids, while the bonus tier (7) requires a minimum of 5.

You'll be able to do 6 of the tiers. Not the bonus tier, though. But considering the original event only had two tiers, you're still ahead in the equation.

He wasn't directly complaining about having to farm droids, he was simply stating its not as easy as you're saying it is. Having to farm B2 and Magna from Cantina is actually pretty tough when almost every character that was released for a long stretch that was arena viable at all went to Cantina nodes. Farming anything from Cantina nodes is not easy. That's a fact. It should be relatively easy to farm the other three or have had farmed them at some point because they were in arena and gw shipments, but having 5 of them ready for a challenge battle certainly isn't easy. Which is fine, its a challenge and its doable, but it won't be easy to get all the requirements for it. He's not complaining about it being hard, he was more referring to the fact that Android users had it easier for this challenge, which is what he was complaining about. Don't assume someone is complaining about a challenge, when they're clearly complaining about something else.

So thank you for your lack of clarity EA. Unlike every other event, you only get 2 total tries. I started at lowest tier to work up, and bang, I am hosed.

This event is a joke, why can't we do every tier like every other event. Why don't you be clear if you change it in super significant ways. So frustrated.

Also, months of prep for, what is now 2 Jawa shards. You are kidding me.

Yea I did the exact same thing. I was pretty frustrated.

I too did the same thing. Except I spent the 250 purple's on a refresh, ha ha ha ha. I got 2 shards of each jawa on the extended super challenge the first time, followed by 2 engineer shards on the second.
Seems a bit over hyped. But it is the only bonus for having a droid team.
I'm sure the Separatist challenge will be equally disappointing.

I did the same thing. At least we get one refresh, for about 4 shards for the whole event it seems. I was expecting some more grandiose. Oh well, at least it does not cost my energy to do it.
