I agree with others that you need Lando to lead for the speed and crit dmg bonus.
Since you will have to use Luke, mod him for speed and crit dmg so he can nail big shots on his special.
Ackbar lead only really works when you have other supports/healers that can generate bonus attacks when they do a non-attack (although the speed he gives is also nice). Wedge provides self-heal to whole team on crits hence why he will make a good leader through an event like this as you have not real outright healer in Rebels. Ack's cleanse also heals so make sure you use it when there are plenty debuffs for maximum health gain.
I am also aiming for a 6* palp and will use the following combo:
Wedge lead, Biggs, Lando, Ackbar, Scarif Rebel Pathfinder
