Explain the L3-37 Revive mechanic at work here

In arena, I encountered a squad composed of Qi'ra (L), Vandor Chewy, L3-37, Nest, Young Han.

I don't remember the specific star and gear levels of the team and who had zetas, but since L3-37 was taunting at the start, I killed her pretty quick. But she revived. So I killed her again and again and again. Her behavior was that of NS Zombie, which I was unprepared for, and I eventually lost.

Since this was the first time i face a full Solo squad, I went to look at their kits. To my surprise, I couldn't find anything that suggested L3-37 would revivie automatically. I checked all her skills, and Qi'ra's leader and saw nothing. I checked the uniques of a few of the others and didn't see anything that jumped out. So what caused L3-37 to auto revive?

Well the OP didn’t know how Vandor Chewie’s zeta worked, which probably means they were giving Vandor Chewie Prepared over and over.

It’s hard to remember every character’s abilities all the time, especially if you don’t run into that character very often, like Chewie.

Ok, there it is. I didn't check him for some reason, but that obviously explains it.
  • I find it hard to believe that you took down L3 that many times. Shes very tough, heals, young han gives protection, chewie heals. Plus when chewie revives he loses prepared so you need to gain that again.

He regains prepared if he gets back to max protection and gains protection whenever an ally takes damage. If OP was constantly attacking L3 then they inadvertently were "preparing" VC again and again.

Your making it sound better than it is.
    1. Chewie must be buffed
    2. He must not take damage during the turn. Any aoe used sorry no prepared.
    3. Must recover to max protection. Doesnt always happen.
    4. If the enemy is taking multiple turns first your again not getting chance for prepared

Ive being using these toons for a couple weeks and no way does vandor revive repeatedly so quickly.
  • OP didn't specify how long it took. I merely read their description of the battle and it fits what Vandor does. It's the only explanation for L3 reviving more than once, as much as it may not perfectly fit your list of restrictions.

OP also didn't list what each enemy did on their respective turns. Bad timing on OP's part could result in Vandor having a buff/being prepared as L3 died. Not out of the realm of possibility, again.

Why are you being a Vandor Truther here, man? What do you hope to get out of this thread?
  • Vandor is the Truth!

    CONVERT!

Seriously though OP, how old is your shard and what rank are you? Just curious.

@VonZant Not sure how old my shard is, but I've been playing since Nov 2017. I'm ranked in the 750 range, but that is a step up from where I used to be so I am in unfamiliar territory
