This game is extremely grindy, that never changes. So if it's driving you crazy now, just keep that in mind.
I agree with Rius, Galactic Republic is a good squad/fleet to start with early on. It pays off later. Another good option is to work on the Geonosians. They're a beneficial squad in territory wars, and as an early fleet, they really help get you along. Also, if you can, start farming Bossk and Hounds Tooth now. They'll take forever but they're the game changer in fleets. ?
