I saved kryotechs in advance and I'm at 1.5 for free right now, going through my 50 crystal refreshes every day while maintaining a farm on Droideka and IG-1000.
Forgoing other farms and going through the 100 crystal refreshes could reasonably land someone three finishers by now without the need for money, so long as they have either a 450/day crystal income or a modest stash sufficient to make up the difference for a few days.
"How much money" is not a coherent question here, because resource management has such a heavy impact on it.
