Galaxy of Heroes Terms, Shortform, and Slang

Since this is the Guide Section, maybe there should be an "urban-dictionary" type thing for new board members.

I started playing around mid-February, and join this board almost 2 weeks ago. Reading some of the threads is almost another language. I've deciphered some. I get many players are on their cells, thus typing is a chore.

Anyone have a list of codes and short forms used?

Some of the ones I easily figured out (or ones used on other gaming boards) such as:
zaul or Zaul or zMaul = zeta Darth Maul
QGJ = Qui Gon Jinn
wiggs = having both Biggs and Wedge combo
chaze or Chaze = having both Chirrut and Baze combo
2*, 3*, 4*, etc = Stars on your toons
f2p, F2P = free to play
p2p, P2P = pay to play
CUP = Coruscant Underground Police
OP = Over-powered or Opening Post
Nerf = re-adjusted to lower power(s) or strength(s)
QoL = Quality of Life, referring the thread
devs = game developers

I know there's lots more. What else are on this board and no where else?

Thanks.

Oh yeah, I keep seeing 100/100 and 50/50 refreshes. I know what refreshes mean, and I know the number denotes the number of crystals, but I don't get why it's typed like that.
  • What is zeta, though? I've come across it a few times and not entirely sure what it's for.
  • Good idea! Other character acronyms:

    DN - Darth Nihilus
    Sid - Darth Sidious
    TFP - Tie Fighter Pilot
    SRP - Scarif Rebel Pathfinder
    STH - Storm Trooper Han
    Lumi - Luminara Unduli
    ST - Shoretrooper
    SiT - Sith Trooper
    DT - Death Trooper
    SF - Sun Fac
    JC - Jedi Consular
    Ack - Admiral Ackbar
    SA - Sith Assassin
    JKA - Jedi Knight Anakin
    RG - Royal Guard
    RP - Resistance Pilot
    GG - General Grievous
    GK - General Kenobi
    GS - Geonosian Soldier
    FOTP - First Order Tie Pilot
    FOO - First Order Office
    FOST - First Order Storm Trooper
    IGD - Ima-Gun Di
    EP/Palps - Emperor Palpatine
    KF - Kit Fisto
    PK/Plo - Plo Koon

  • ^ Awesome. It took me awhile to figure out what some of them meant. Sometimes it was made clear a few posts down.

    OK, can someone explain why refreshes are often typed 100/100 and 50/50? I know what refreshes mean, and I know the number denotes the number of crystals, but I don't get why it's typed like that. Thanks.

    whale - mad person spending thousands of dollars on the game
    dolphin - spending lots but not quite enough to be called a whale

    Maybe then add:

    blowfish - someone who spends the odd bit of cash for extra crystals for refreshes but realise he'll just blow it on a chromium card ;)
