General Kenobi does not lose his taunt?

Hi,

I have recently seen this happened occasionally.

So basically I am using CLS/Chewie/Han/C3po/Thrawn against Revan/GMY/GK/Jolee/Ezra. Battle Sequence usually goes like this:

1. Han/Chewie attacks Jolee.
2. CLS - Call to action while targeting GK, chewie attacks and applies Tenacity Down on GK.
3. CLS - use the force on revan to remove TM
4. c3po - OMG on GK to apply CONFUSE on GK (OMG zeta)
5. Chewie - pulverize to remove taunt from GK
6. Thrawn fracture whoever i want

then the battle continues...

However, I have noticed that occasionally, everything plays out accordingly except at step 5 when Chewie does pulverize and GK's taunt is still there. From what I understand, Pulverize should have removed all buff including taunt, then because of the Confuse status on GK, he shouldn't regain taunt in case pulverize crits. It seems to work as such for almost all the time except a few occasional cases when GK still has a taunt afterward. So I am not sure what I am missing here?

    it says "dispel all buffs on all enemies, then deal physical damagies..." can "Dispel" actually be evaded?

    If they evade the attack (damage) they also evade the dispel. WAI, huge discussion over it when Chewie launched, and yes, the wording suggests otherwise but hey ho.

    If you see the Cassians Ships "Rebel Recon":
    Enter Battle: Dispel all buffs on all enemies. Inflict Offense Down and Defense Down on target enemy for 2 turns, which can't be Evaded or Resisted.
    So ... it is possible to evade or resist the dispel.
    If an enemy has foresight, pulverize does not dispell the other buffs, too.

    While you're correct, I'm not sure your example is a good one. That clause appears to refer specifically to the Offense and Defense down effects, not necessarily the dispel. Asajj's special (Strike Fear) might be a better example of what you're talking about.

    Ok, is this same case with chopper's metal menace? It says can't be evaded but i think it was for the stun part.

    No. Sion’s mass dispel special can’t be evaded

    I’m pretty sure since metal menace deals no damage that the buff dispel part can’t be evaded. The stun on droids definitely can’t be evaded because that is the part of the ability that specifically says so.
