No, I think I'm just mis-remembering that part.
All this double-checking, triple-checking and questions has left me confused and uncertain of what I remember now. All I can be certain of now is the squad compositions, the Speed of the two Hans and that his Shoots First went first and my Han didn't.
I'm 99.9% certain I was the first attacker but I'm now doubting that right now as I don't see any other explanation.
