Help for a noob

Short answer: Take Lumi to 7*, take chewy to 4* max lol.

In my opinion farm who you like. The way the game is now all characters seem like they can be good. I apologize for not having actual advice though. Luminara is still a good character and I heard chewy is good for galactic war, even though I don't personally use him. They are both very helpful for lightside battles as well.

Definitely farm Lumi from her 2 nodes until level 40, when you can buy shards of.her frpm Galactic War. As for Chewie, I would leave him at 3*. I think Fives has nodes early on as well? I don't have him but I've heard good things

I haven't even unlocked galactic war yet but I'll start farming lumi now :) need someone better for my party, they are trash atm haha

+1 (2D Hard DS for Fives' shards..and 4F Hard LS)

Chewie can also help a lot for the light side missions.

Any recommendations as to who to farm early on?

True gear is much but equipping the right toons is efficient. My chewy is still blue gear. Farming the right toons is key. Rey will always be good, RG of course, Sid can help you until you get someone better. Luminari is important for all aspects, no one ask to nerf her because we all have her.

Chewie was great for me early on and is fair now. He's solid b squad material in my lineup.

But I do hate seeing him in gw because he can keep me from whooping up on the toons I really want to go after. That taunt and slow turn meter is a potent combo.

The biggest problem is chewy one turn taunt. He will eventually become b squad material and an mvp in tank challange. The best thing which will always be the meta, farm easy toons to promote; pick a few hard toons to farm and keep with them but they won't be helpful until later so they must be good choices. Until then farm easy toons.

My chewy is maxed everything. Lol he was my first toon I leveled where I had no idea about him or the game. Shame I love him in the movies but as for the game I regret it. He's good for the tank challenge and he's now my second tank behind my 5 star RG ....Yeah the RG completely destroys him. Like I said a shame.
