Help Needed - Jedi Revan turn order

Hello all.

So I'm seeing an issue when I am playing w/ my new Revan.

I have my speed set from mods to have a turn order of Basti, then GMY, then Revan.

But for some reason, every other fight or so, when I start out Revan pops up to 2nd & moves before GMY.

Anyone have any clue why this would be happening.

(I even occasionally see Old Ben jump up & move faster up in 2nd place too, but this is far less often & has been going on pre-Revan joining the team)

I don't see anything in anyone's kits that would make the turn order different right off the bat like this.

And I'm not seeing Yoda get hit by any TM Reduction, so I'm stumped.

I'm assuming its something from the enemy team, but does anyone know of anything between these 3 that would cause sudden TM changes at battle launch?

    Thanks Cyril.

Huge BT fan. The Books, the Games. All of it.

Nice. Been a while since I played or read anything, but I loved it all too. Happy to meet a fellow fan.

It's Bastila's legendary battle meditation. You need to slow Revan down a few points. Aim for 221 and see if that works for you.

    How are you calculating that?

She adds the same TM to each ally, so why would it boost one more than another?

With Bastila lead, you start with 15% TM, so your characters effective speed is their speed divided by 0.85 (85% TM to fill), meaning that your Bastila has the equivalent of ~277.7 speed, GMY 268.2 abd JKR ~265.9.

Now, this means that when Bastila takes a turn, GMY will be at 96.6% TM and JKR at 95.78%. Bastila unique grants 3% TM to allies after every turn she takes, doubled for jedi, so both JKR and GMY hit 100% at the same time (it tops up at 100%, doesn't matter that one needed 3.4% and the other 4.22%, they both got 6% at the same time).

Given that both your characters are at 100% TM now, the turn order is randomly generated, so this is why you JKR can go before GMY.

To prevent this, you need JKR to be at 93.9% TM when Bastila takes a turn (277.6 effective speed times 0.939 and multiplied by abother 0.85 for the 15% starting TM), meaning below ~221.6 speed.
  • You realize that all this is becomes moot when you invariably encounter a faster JKR who uses Direct Focus on your Bastilia, increasing her cooldowns by one. :D
  • Thank you RSL.

I thought it was set up so that if they hit 100% the one that "got there first/further" would be the one that went first, So if one hit 100.5% TM when the other hit 101.1% TM etc etc that it would make the faster/further alone one go first.

Looks like I'm going to have to skip over my turn order idea of making DirFocus hit for a lot of damage & just mod him up for more speed & have it hit first :(

RathTarr, I almost wish a JRK would hit her first, LOL, they always go for my DPS or Healer instead.
  • By the way, I routinely beat higher speed, higher GP JKR squads in mirror matches using GMY and JKR modded for damage rather than pure speed. With Savior, having the first move is not as critical as it might otherwise be. ;)
