So who would be a good replacement for FOT that can remove buffs and can take the hits. Don't have Blaze high enough. Any suggestions????

Nihilus dispells on basic and has a comparable hp/prot pool. You could try him. Another option is to just be careful about when you hit that tactical genius and just make sure it's after Baze has his aoe on cooldown, or when you have him stunned by R2, that's generally the route I go with my CLS team. He'll still get the tm of course, but you'll have extra time to make use of the buffs, and his basic is a minimal threat.

In addition to Baze gaining tm when you get buffs, he is also a Rebel. If opponent has Luke leader zeta, then he gains tm when opponent debuffs are Resisted. Also, if Binds All Things is zeta, then he will also gain tm when their CLS lands debuffs. A CLS who also gets tm if Baze is damaged while he doesn't have Call to Action.

As someone said, tm gain and speed are two different things. Imagine if they were all runners--speed is how fast they go, and tm is the length of the track. A tm push is not them running faster, it's them teleporting farther down the track.
