HK AOE tenacity down against prot up GR

Hi all,

I've read that tenacity down is applied even if your toons are buffed with tenacity up, and if they have both, they canceled each other : OK.
But Padmé leadership Zeta says : Light Side allies have +50% Max Health, and while they have Protection Up they resist all debuffs and can't be critically hit.

And guess what ? Even with this prot up buff, tenacity down applied.

So do you think it's a normal behavior and that tenacity down will always been irresistible, even when the description says "resist all debuffs" ?

Thanks for your thoughts ;)
  • All the tenacity!!!!

  • Resisting all debuffs and being immune to debuffs are two different things.

As GR with protection up only resist debuffs, and tenacity down cannot be resisted, tenacity down should be applied to them. This is WAI.
  • - tenacity down is a debuff
    - tenacity down can't be resisted (it bypasses the tenacity/potency check and therefor tenacity up doesn't prevent it from being applied)

Padme's leadership just says that allies resist all debuffs, not that they're immune to them. So tenacity down will still be applied.
  • Ok, it's pretty clear, I think I still have some things to learn about this game :)
    Thx for your answers !
  • As stated above tenacity down cannot be resisted. However, a point worth mentioning is that tenacity down does nothing when they have protection up.

In the leadership ability description it says "while they have protection up they resist all debufs" and tencity down just reduces their tenacity, it doesn't automatically mean debufs can't be resisted.

The actual behind the scenes mechanics are that Padme lead gives them 9999900% tenacity when they have protection up. Tenacity down however is only -999900% so when they have tenacity down and protection up they have a net tenacity of 9000000% which presently is more than the maximum potency that any character can have in the game. Of course effects that say "can't be resisted" (like KRU's 2 turn stun for example) will still apply regardless of tenacity.
