How high should I take my Phoenix squad?(EP/Thrawn)

I got thrawn with everyone at g8 plus omegas. No zetas. Stack zeb with 6 potency mods and put protection secondaries on everyone else. Make your chopper 190 speed, taunt, he will get fractured, backup plan him, repeat. Use zeb to daze and stun and stagger deathtrooperz.
Then Use stagger to remove deathtrooper buffs, kill deathtroopers first then others then Thrawn.

Phoenix is very useful in many parts of game though. I have them all g9 now and can 6/6 most TB battles with no zetas.

Fwiw , your attackers should be geared higher over the tanks, they are the ones that need to be doing the killings lol, g9 for sure, for all even better, with decent mods , and you should be ok. However, the big thing is the omega uniques, The shared uniques is what makes Phoenix work so well. Without having them maxed out, you will be needing either higher gear levels, ie 9plus, or better/faster mods,

Aside from their gear needs being painful, you won't regret the expenditure because of how solid they are virtually everywhere else.

But what about if i can't get omegas in time?

At your level, I think you will be able to get Thrawn at 6 stars, but not 7. In January when he was last around, I was level 70 and got him at 6 stars. The only players in my arena shard who got Thrawn at 7 stars were level 76 or higher and they had all 5 Phoenix characters for the event at gear 9.

I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to get Thrawn at 7 stars this time around, since 3 are at gear 9 and I’ve been putting omegas on their uniques. Here’s where I am now, if it helps: https://swgoh.gg/u/kaimulai/squads/26311/

I also can swap on my arena mods if needed to make them faster.

So i should be good if I take everyone to gear 9 then?

And I'm assuming you didn't take the 2 tanks to gear 9 because they need a lot of carbanti's right?

You can ignore other Phoenix and keep gearing Ezra, he's worth it, you can also beat EP event with no problem, do daily activities and get as many exp as you can, you can get some scoundrels for credit heist to buy better mods, your Phoenix should be able to get Thrawn at 6*, and you don't need a really high star level for a good Thrawn. Worse case scenario, Thrawn comes back tmr, you should gear the following: Chopper, Ezra and Hera, Chopper is fast with his dispels, and Hera is squishy and give back up plan, Ezra can be used outside of Phoenix and generally a good attacker, if you want to play safe, gearing them all at gear 9 might be enough (and get Ezra to gear 10), keep on trying until you got the right RNG, 7 days are long.

At what star level though?

They were 85 7*. You can get him at 5* lower and he is still useful.
