How I got to first with General Grievous

Okkeeejjjj so appears that GG really works. I'm a little ashamed that I was in the anty GG faction but I was wrong.

Took first today in arena. Yeah you need the zetas. You don't need 7* (I'm on 4* B1 and droideka). Running zzGG, zzBB8, zB1, zB2, zDroideka.

I can actually hit for 87k sometimes (with ID). Without ID I saw hits for 65k easily. Yes it was at the end of the battle. Yeah it took time to learn it.

Slow droideka with offense mods, GG after B2, always kill Yoda regardless of Jolees revive. I win even with Marked on B1. The only time I loose if B2 wont put any buff immunity or his cooldowns won't be reduced (doesn't happen often)

So...not so bad after all. On offense CLS will still kill you. ZFinn won't, Traya probably will (didn't win yet, but I think it's possible - had only 3 battles so far)

Thx to @Smapty for pointing the strategy.

  • I spent the zetas and omegas feels like a big regret. I’ve lost probably 8 in a row after the first win.

Any suggestions for my mods would be great. I’ll admit my droideka and B1 are only 4* though

Part of it could be 6E modding, and the 4* characters, as well as practice optimising your moves.

I think sep droids could be improved for sure (especially against traya and cls teams) but they can do ok against revan when completely maxed out.

I noticed you hit rank 1 so i guess (like me) you're practicing with your grievous team against revan opponents with some pretty fine tuned mods. You need to give yourself some time to do the same with this team.
  • So far I've tested mod setups with very fast bb8 (so first turn order is bb8, b1,b2,GG,droideka) and very slow, tanky bb8 (b2,b1,GG,droideka,bb8).

I've also tested with b2 first, than GG aoe which applies tl, and then b1 and the rest of the squads.

In my opinion... It doesn't matter much which of those setups you'll implement (fast bb8, slow bb8, b2 first, b2 second. Of course b2 has to go before gg). I had spectacular wins and spectacular losses with either of those squads. It depends strongly what ai will do. If it focuses on only b2, you are screwed no matter what you'll do. If it focuses on GG only you are probably also dead. If ai will spread Yoda's attack you are good. That's it.

Still I think I prefer faster bb8 as this way I can fire ID sometimes. With slower it almost never happens as gg's health build up quickly kils your bb8.

The setup with c3,r2d2, t3, bb8 is the one I use the most against DR, and it's usually a win. It does not work against jkr.

But you need them to be well modded and in proper order of course
  • Yeah I'm fighting ig lead, GG,t3,bb8, ipd.

I've given zeta to ig, cause with stronger malaks you need to prevent him from healing. So far still first.

But there will be problems with 7* malak.

    There's also a tm bug.
