I'm going to go against the grain here and say Chewie isn't worthless in GW. GW is entirely about managing your hp and powers from one node to the next. Since this isn't arena, and there are no time limits, having a somewhat tanky hero that can taunt, heal and proc an occasional turn meter reduction is a bit useful. This is especially true if you need to buy an extra round to refresh an important skill like Barriss' heal or Lumi's force.
When you combine Chewie with RG and Barriss, you don't need extremely high dps heroes to breeze through the first three legs of a GW. You just take longer to win. Add in Daka and you'll pretty much be able to stun lock any threat on the other team while you chip away at softer targets.
Style points don't reward you more.
